With the development of modern fuel injected engines and complicated computer engine management systems it has been a challenge to develop compatible conversion equipment in line with the constantly stringent demands for improved vehicle emissions.

The challenge is met today with new sequential direct gas injection systems incorporating advanced engine management software providing low emissions whilst maintaining optimum engine performance.

As with all developing markets, there has been a rapid growth in the number of companies and individuals offering LPG conversions, many of which have little or no formal training and offer no technical support or after sales service. Partly as a result of the lack of statutory regulation, the result has often been poorly or incorrectly installed conversion equipment that in some cases may not even be suitable for the vehicle converted.
